Vegetation Reference Images
These are to study how vines, branches, and roots bend and tangle around each other and other objects. I'm also using this to look at the various types of plants. Also useful reference for the color palette that I'm going for.
Environment Reference Material
I've decided that for my environment I'm going to go with a post apocalyptic asian fantasy world while using vibrant colors like in enslaved. Here are some reference images from google for various asian architecture.

More Research
These capture the kinds of fantasy themes that I really enjoy. These are pictures from Okami and Avatar: The Last Airbender and Avatar: The Legend of Korra and The Last Guardian. The color palette also really captures my eye.
Research
These are some pictures of what inspires me for environments. I like the vibrant color palette of blues and greens. The screen shots are from a new game coming out called Enslaved: Odyssey to the West.
The overgrowth is cool.
Even though it's post apocalyptic environment, it feels lively and vibrant.
Everything is destroyed but it looks the opposite of most destroyed environments. It's not dreary and monotone.

Other Work
Some of my work that didn't get put into the power point.
This is more of a dynamic pose than the example in my power point, but it can be pushed some more.
Character sheet for a senior animation project.
Humanoid creature character for a senior animation project.
Creature I made back in 3D design. It's a fusion of a wolf and an iguana. Made of super sculpey.
I've done a few character sheets for some senior animation projects, but nothing like the finished digital paintings that I really want to get into.
